Why is it so hard to predict cancer therapy response?

Because most tumors are made up of lots of different cell types, not just “cancer cells”. This is called “tumor heterogeneity”.

For example, pancreatic cancer only contains 5-15% actual cancer cells; the rest being immune cells, fibroblasts, blood vessels, and other cell types. 

This also affects other indications, such as bladder cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, non-small-cell lung cancer, and many more.

  • How many targets can I run? We support mid-plex panels today; details are shared under NDA for pilot partners.
